You know, not claimed Biblical promised because — what? — you don’t want to risk God disappointing you or someone else? Not TRUSTED (like a child) the promises God clearly made to his people?
Using thought processes like, “Well, that was written to the Israelites, so I’m not sure that applies to me.” OR “Well, that was OLD Testament, so it’s not really relevant to me.”
If you have ever stood at the foot of the Lord and wondered HOW MUCh you can trust him for? If you’ve ever been praying for a miracle that you DOUBTED because that would be too audacious… If you feel you HAVE been let down by God, (not the people or church of God, because that is a different discussion), if you have wondered why we don’t see more miracles…
I’ve been wrestling with this, because having retreated into God himself during intense grief, I came out different. Much bolder in my faith.
I have come to realize that SO MANY TIMES I have grabbed the CLOAK of a Biblical promise and then dropped it… maybe for fear of feeling silly or foolish, for believing and being let down, for WHAT???? To somehow have my faith challenged?
Woman, what if you CLUNG to the promises, NO MATTER how bumpy the ride? What if you clung as if your life depends on it? (Your eternity does not. That depends on only ONE promise. I’m talking about your life on THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN. THAT is what changes when you cling to outrageous promises and do not let go.)
What if you KNEW (in business, in marriage, in life, with your health) that you WALKED under the PHYSICAL cover of God’s favor?
What if you KNEW that God today is the same God that split the Red Sea and raised Lazarus from the dead?
What if you KNEW that the power that raised CHRIST from the grave was at work within you?
What if you KNEW that blessings and prosperity in ALL areas were meant to be yours? We’re ALREADY yours if you’d only claim them. Like unclaimed money from that Saudi prince they keep emailing you about. lol….
I am not talking about “Prosperity Gospel.” There are promises AND commands. I don’t want to ignore the commands. But to see miracles, to walk, to live and do business “favored,” you do not have to get it perfect. You have to have a child like faith. PERIOD.
I have heard people who had Jeremiah 29:11 tattooed on their body being mocked. Spiritual elitists who pointed out that this verse was SPECIFICALLY meant for — and written to– the Israelites who had been exiled and enslaved. A Promise that even in their darkest season, God had a plan to prosper and keep them.
Is it FOOLISH to believe that God
who is unchanging
who had a plan for the Israelites
would have a prosperous plan for me?
If so, then call me a fool. I have clung to RIDICULOUS promises and God has credited them to me as faith. I have not been let down.
at a certain point, I had to ask myself…
Do I WANT to parse through the Bible to DISCREDIT God’s promises in some “pious” effort to not be disappointed by God Himself?
I don’t.
and I won’t.
I want ALLLLL that God has for me
ON THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN.
Nothing more.
BUT ALSO
Nothing less.
So, I’m doing a thing.
SOME things.
First, I’d love your thoughts to this message in the comments below. Even if you disagree.
BUT I am FINALLY opening my Women’s Bible study. Always free. Always on Tuesdays. Times TBD. For those details join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/faithfilledfeminist
We’ll start with a few weeks dedicated to WHO AM I?
Then, we’ll dive into EXACTLY what is covered in this post: THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN — Promises we can cling to, to experience the Kingdom ON EARTH.
If you want a little tease, message me or comment below and I’ll send you the Biblical promises I TRUST and CLING to in my business, life, finances, relationships, etc.
Also, this image.
IS a teaser.
Of something so fun I’ve been working on behind the scenes.
A non-Michelle business. lol…
Oh woman,
get ready.
Here’s a teaser:
…a whisper network of women entrepreneurs, women rooted in grit and grace, who create from conviction, market from their marrow, and build a legacy that can stand the test of time.
This isn’t for everyone… it’s for women who are rooted and rising, strong and holy, unshakable and free.
We are not chasing hustle. Not burning out. Not bending for trend or trendsetter. But rising rooted.
Strong.
Certain.
True.
Who is IN on THAT?
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS ACTIVELY LOOKED FOR LOOPHOLES TO LET GOD HIMSELF “OFF THE HOOK?
