Of all the decisions you’ll make heading into 2026, this is the one that is the most impactful on your income — so choose wisely.
Most business owners go into the new year with income goals, goals for X# of new leads, new (now AI generated) plans for ascending offers, maybe some 10,000 foot view of how their business will look.
But too little focus on boots on the ground STRATEGY for HOW these goals will be reached.
And if this level of strategy IS there, it’s largely focused on general commitments relating to social media as a tool to get more leads. Example: Go live every day.
But the outcome of your year will be governed by a much quieter, but uber-strategic decision:
➡️➡️ ➡️ Where will you be seen in 2026?
Where you show up determines:
👍🏻 who you will reach,
👍🏻 how you’ll be perceived by that person,
👍🏻whether you have to fight for their attention or not, and
👍🏻whether or not you’ll be remembered.
Is there a RIGHT and WRONG (for you) place to show up in 2026?
Absolutely. The IDEAL place has a few non-negotiable characteristics:
🍄Your ideal clients are already there, paying attention.
🍄 You’re welcomed as a contributor, not treated like a human pop-up ad.
🍄 You’re not competing with a thousand voices screaming for scraps of attention.
🍄 You’re introduced by someone they trust with context and credibility already baked in.
🍄 You get to control your narrative instead of chasing what’s trending.
🍄 The environment assumes authority instead of forcing you to prove it.
🍄 Your message can land fully, without being rushed, clipped, or swiped past.
I am often mocked as a dinosaur, which I — admittedly— am in this industry when I talk about not being dependent on social media as a lead generator.
Also admittedly, I am a true introvert, so the idea of performing for a crowd that may or may not show up makes me shudder with anxiety and angst.
STILL, even if this were not true, I would NOT trust my income and wealth to a finicky algorithm or a noisy and chaotic auditorium where I had to show up and shout for attention. If you LOVE social media, and if it is IN FACT producing steady leads for you, keep doing it.
But if not, there is SUCH an easier, simpler, way more dependable way to get leads.
And it all starts with PLACE. (I’m re-opening The Power of Place micro-drop…. for free. Link to grab your copy is in the comments.)
Above I’ve listed the characteristics that the RIGHT place has.. but what happens when you choose the WRONG place?
Well, everything feels harder:
You explain more.
You justify more.
You perform more.
You hustle for reactions instead of creating demand.
When you choose the RIGHT place, the opposite happens:
People listen longer.
Conversations deepen faster.
Opportunities find you instead of the other way around.
This issue of place is at the core of why so many (TOO MANY) smart, capable women feel like they’re “almost there” year after year. They’re doing the work — but they’re doing it in rooms that were never built to recognize them.
So before you plan the offers…
Before you map the content.
Before you set the goals…
Decide where your authority will live in 2026.
Because visibility without strategy is just adding to the noise.
And placement, not effort, is what will quietly decide your income. Grab your free micro-drop here.
