This answer has changed over the years. I used to be the “secret weapon” because of my work under the hood of their business… the copy tweaking, the little hacks I learned to get mail or email opened…. the psychology of buying intersected with the RIGHT NOW relevant (all trends are NOT relevant) buying trends.
NOTE: They still come for that last bit. The NOISE of the internet and of the masses (and often your commiserating peers) drown out the truth…. and so the psychology of buying applied to YOUR offer in today’s landscape… and how to POSITION that offer so that people CLAMOR to get it… is still something I’m sought out for by those “in the know.” lol… (My name is still passed around in secret. You know, she helped so and so do X, Y, Z.)
But they come to me NOW for simplicity.
And common sense.
Because the internet is out here convincing even SMART people that in order to have “leverage” or “scale” (i.e. I want to make more money in less time.) you have to: Hire a team. Social media person. Ads expert. Funnel expert. Someone to sell on the phone. (This takes money and requires a lot of time to manage, motivate… and well, manage.)
Transition all of your stuff — your BODY OF WORK — to yet another software which, you know, is everything they said the LAST hot software was… but wasn’t.
(So many do this and then KEEP PAYING that last software for various reasons… so more money out and tons of headaches in as you switch everything over…again. Am I in your junk drawer yet?) Travel to be in the right place at the right time, sometimes even paying someone to come with you to get photos, videos of you for the social media team you just hired. (OMG… this makes even your vacation into more work.)
Guys, this is silly.
Just YUCK.
Business isn’t EASY, necessarily,
but it IS simple.
And building in a bunch of complexity
can NEVER be the way to that simple,
uber profitable business you want.
I sent an email to my members this morning about how SOFT I’ve gotten. How many excuses (of mine, of theirs) that I’ve accepted.
But I will STILL stack my PROFIT
against nearly ANY
name you know.
ANY name.
And profit is what matters.
That, and your peace of course,
that and being able to live according to your OWN priorities and preferences. OF COURSE.
This is what is possible for your business.
But ONLY if you’re willing to OPT OUT of the madness.
